Sofia Samoylova

I am currently pursuing my PhD, focusing on the impact of maternal heat exposure on preterm birth rates. My research utilises both human data and Diploptera punctata as a model organism. Having obtained a background in Biochemistry (BSc) and Medical Biosciences (MSc), my research interest developed into investigating the effects of the maternal environment on progeny and understanding the mechanisms at play.

Current project title ‘Heat impacts on pregnancy outcomes: an interdisciplinary and cross-species approach’.
